Queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota subsp. carota)
Family: Apiaceae
Queen Anne's lace is native to Europe and Asia, where it has been cultivated for thousands of years. It has escaped from cultivation and naturalized in many of the world's temperate regions, including North America. It is aggressive and difficult to eradicate once established in the garden. Nevertheless, it is still a favorite for many gardeners, particularly as a source of cut flowers.
